    Hey guys,

I want to model the landscape of a coastline/headline area of my town.
I have done some research on the internet and found there is such information as DEM Digital Elevation Models, like digital topographic maps. I have heard you can use topomaps in C4D, but id rather use the digital data if i could.

How could i use this information in C4D?

Local Council have agreed to supply me with their digital data set, and they rattled off many file types they use, the main one i remember was ASCII XYZ. They also are willing to supply me with a arial photography to match with the data.

Is there anyone that can point me in the right direction in how to do this? Hopefully its possible.
    Cheers,
    Matt

if you have a DEM file of the area just open it, C4D reads DEM’s. In Preferences/Import you can pre-set the scale if it’s coming in way too small or large
