Up yer nose with a rubber hose….
Hi everyone–
I’m fairly new to C4D, so please bear with me.
I’m trying to model a rubber hose (like a fire hose or garden hose) that I can organically bend at multiple points, but I’m having some major issues. My best approach so far has been to create a long & thin cylinder solid & add a couple of bend deformers that I’ve sized to be just larger than the circumference of the cylinder.
The problem I’m having with this approach is two-fold: 1) I have little control over the individual bend deformers (if I change the strength or angle of one, the whole object changes), and 2) the bend is not very organic–even using a HyperNURBS, it looks like a bent paper towel tube (flat bend) rather than a rounded bend that a rubber tube would have.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
