    hi there

Basically Im having the problem that when importing a photoshop file as a composition it is running extremely slow. The photoshop file is about 100meg so I guess that isnt a good start? The reason its so big is because I have about 20 copies of the same chair that I want to appear and then 20 copies of the same machine for the same reason…is there anyway I can do this better..it is just so ridiculously slow, i love after effects, but im going mad! 90% rendering, 10% working 🙁

    cheers

    dan

Since all these chairs are the same ,why don’t you just creat one chair and duplicate it in AE?
Then I think maybe you should check the size of your Psd file.I meant checking the width and weighth. If you were making a Pal video and your chairs needed not to be scaled into very large size in your footage,a PSD file in720*576pix(72pix/inch) is enough.A file in too large size will not improve your work but drive you AE into grind.
