    I’d like to know how to re-render something in my queue that’s been rendered once already, without having to set it up in the queue all over again.

    Sometimes I’ll render a shot out of AFX, and only once I’ve brought it into Premiere and watched it will I see that something small is wrong with it. So I’ll go back into AFX, and make the necessary tweak. Now I want to re-render the exact same thing again to the exact same location, using the exact same render settings. It would be the bee’s knees if I could just select that entry in my queue and re-render it.

    And ideas?

    Thanks,
    Dustin

    Select the item in the render queue and press cmd-d (ctrl-d on a PC) to duplicate the item.

    [Dave LaRonde] “This same trick is good for multiple items in the Render Queue, of course.”

    So is the cmd-d/ctrl-d trick ( ;

    I remember back in the day, I set up the help PDF to print as a small quarter page sized booklet. All you had to do was fold the page in half and in half again, put the pages in order and staple them. The folded pages ended up with the opposite/2 sided pages in the correct order so that when you stacked them correctly, you had a small staple bound pamphlet.

    I’ll have to try it again and post a tutorial on it!

    Haha, is that the nice way of saying RTFM? 😉

    Just kidding. It is something I should have been able to find on my own though. Duh moment.

    Thanks again, guys.

    yeah, it’d be nice… but then they couldn’t offer it for the low low price they currently do… 🙂

    For the last two versions of 3ds max, tucked inside the DVD case has been a 5x5x5-inch “Quick Reference Cube” with all of max’s hot keys on it. It takes like five seconds to fold together into a cube shape and one of the flaps has an adhesive. It kind of feels like a consolation prize, or like something you might find in a kid’s cereal box. Some might be bothered by the bulk, and prefer a small booklet or card or something, but I think it’s kinda neat. It sits on my desk at work 🙂

    If you have CS3 you don’t even have to render it. Open Bridge and drag the project into the assets window of Premier. Then just treat it as a clip. When you want to tweak just go to AE, the changes are reflected in Premier.

    Yeah I can do that in AFX7 + Premiere Pro 2 as well. But like all things Adobe makes, you have to bear in mind that just because you CAN do something doesn’t necessarily mean you should do it 😉

    Good point; but, out of interest, what’s the downside?
