    Hi there,
I’m trying to colour a black and white movie, is there a way i can isolate the black and increase the contrast and make it blacker without affecting any grey or white areas? I have lots of footage to do this on and would like the quickest way possible!
The image is from a flash file so is cartoony and not live action.
    I’m using after effects 7.

    Mark,

If you are familiar with levels, this should be an easy fix. This could also be completed probably quicker in your NLE so you dont have to export the footage from AE to your NLE. If you are using premiere I know you can do it there.

    Good luck

Thanks, I’ve used curves before in photoshop, didn’t know it was in after effects too.
Thanks this has really saved me a lot of time!
