    Hi,

i am looking for an old tutorial on creating the light effect that mimics police car lights flashing against a wall.

or if you have an easy way of doing this I would greatly appreciate it.

    regards

    Lyle

I’m guessing Dave that you are using the box as a “lighting projector”. If so, the all the boxes along with the lighting transmission set to 100% also need the “cast shawdows” property turned to “only”, so that the red is projected.

Ok I made the light box and set the rig up as per your instructions but the “light box” is not casting light onto the background layer.

I am using a point light. If i adjust the layers to cast shadows only that layer (with the red dot) disappears.

And I thought this was going to be easy…

    Ok, My bad.

I forgot to switch on the background layers 3D on.

    It works great.

    Thanks
