Hi everyone I am desperate for some help trying to do something ive done 1000 times before with no problem.

After creating mask, new mask the yellow outline and corner points do not appear. The only thing ive doen different this time is i’ve used 1440×1080 footage on a 720×576 comp and shrunk it down.

Having said this I closed the project and created a new standard sized one and I have the same problem with no yellow mask edges/corner points showing up…

    Please help!!

This is in AE-CS3 i dont know if its diff in other versions as i haven’t used them.

In your composition view at the bottom of that little panel theres the current time indicator. immidiately to its left theres a button looks like a square missing a corner made from dots – this is called “Toggle Mask And Shape Path Visibility”.

You may have accidentally clicked that. Click it and see if that helps. 🙂

    Jeremy,
Many thanks for your quick reply. In the mean time i found using the men tool to draw a custom mask seemed to work. I have just looked for the icon you describe but couldnt see it. Went around clicking a few that looking similar and now the standard masks appear with no problems so I take it I must have clicked it somewhere down the line!
Thanks so much for your help.
