Boris Chromakey adds horizontal noise to blacks
Hi,
I recently purchased Boris Fx Chromakey.
I shot two talking heads in dark suits on a green screen using Panasonic HVX200, DVCPRO HD 720p60,
In addition to regular lighting, the subjects are also lit from behind with minimal spillage.
When I use the Boris Chromakey filter on the footage, I get evenly spaced horizontal striping on the dark suits. It almost looks like interlacing, even though the footage is not interlaced.
No manipulation of the slider controls eliminates these lines completely.
I usually key in AE using Keylight and do not have this problem.
Any suggestions?

I’ve never seen this problem in 15 years since I wrote this filter. Can you send me a single frame of your clip? Or the whole clip if it’s not too big? Also, are you using BCC Chromakey or BCS Chromakey Studio? I assume you are using Final Cut?

Hi Laura,
To fix the problem I just had to tweak some of the RBG color weight and flare mix/flare ratio settings. Adjusting the lightness and matte density also helped.
