  Tearing an image in half

  I want to create a transition that appears to rip an image in half (i.e. like someone ripping a piece of paper).

  I’m working on an Avid MC3 system with BCC AVX 5.0.

  Anyone ever try to create this?

  If you have Boris Red or Avid FX there is a preset that is very similar to what you are looking for.

  In the library browser go to the Red keyframe library> transitions> DVE transitions> Page turns

  Check out the preset 2 better than 1.

  The other way I could think about doing it manually in Avid would be to cut 2 instances of the outgoing media over the incoming.

  Crop the outgoing so you have the left right or top bottom between the two layers. Then apply BCC Page Turn and set to your liking.

  Hope that makes sense.
