  Save Composition missing in AvidFX (Boris RED)

  When I run the standalone of Avid FX (the engine) V5.8 Save composition copy appears on the Comp menu but save composition is missing!

  I have to save a copy, delete the original in the project window and then rename the copy. V. annoying!

  That’s quite odd – I’m not exactly sure why this is the case. Please try this:

  • launch AvidFX
  • create a new comp
  • name the comp in the project window as test 1
  • save the project as test 1
  • exit AvidFX
  • re-launch AvidFX and open the saved comp
  • make a change to any parameter
  • click on the file menu and you should see Save as an option

  Is that working for you?
