RED 4.2 can’t read my DV AVI files
I usually use Boris RED 4.2 inside of Sony Vegas Pro 8.0b but I need to do some motion tracking so I need to use the standalone RED engine. The problem is that RED will not read any of my DV media. It just gives me a black screen. I’ve tried DV media captured from my Panasonic camera, DV media exported from Sony Vegas, and DV media captured by my ADS Tech A/V Link and the results are always the same. Black screen in Boris RED! 🙁
I also tried to load this media into Boris BLUE and I get the first frame but nothing else. In both RED and BLUE it reports the correct media length but the media doesn’t play. Something is obviously messed up with my system but what?
All other video applications can work with this media just fine: Vegas 6, 7 & 8, Serious Magic Ultra 2, VirtualDub, Windows media Player, etc.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?
