  Red 3GL Track disappearing during BCC Glow Edges after upgrade to FCP 5.1 and Tiger

  Recently upgraded to Tiger and FCP 5.1 and now a previously existing Red 3GL comp won’t allow the BCC Glow Edges filter on a text layer. Even with linear keyframes the track disappears the first frame the filter is applied. Is this filter simply uncompatible with this new configuration?
