I’m using Red as a filter in FCP 4.5 and trying to make a decent credit roll, but it always ends up choppy and blurry. I’ve been trying to isolate the problem, and the main culprit seems to be that it is a fairly lengthy credit roll and it goes by quickly (30 secs). If I make the same roll last 1 minute the results are much better.
So I was wondering if there was a way to fix this. My FCP project is edited from a 24p timeline and I’d like to experiment with credit rolls at a higher frame rate to see if that works. Unfortunately, I believe I’d need to use Red as a generator to do this and no matter what I try this has always been problematic for me on the Mac (PC works fine). But that’s a whole different issue and even if I could get it to work I have serious doubts that it would help. The problem is, I don’t know what else to try.
So, does anyone have any suggestions, other than shortening the text or making the roll last longer?
Thanks ahead of time for any help!
