  Export sequence from AE to FCP : frame rate issue

  Hi,

  I’ve been working on some animations that I want to import in Final Cut Pro 6. My document in After Effects is in 29,97ips. When I export it from AE in a Quicktime sequence, I manually choose 29,97ips.

  When I import that sequence in FCP, after rendering it, it doesn’t seem fluid. When I check the sequence’s properties, it says that the sequence is in 23,98ips even tho I made sure to create it and export it in 29,97ips.

  Any ideas!?

  Sorry, but we need to keep our terms (e.g. “sequence”) straight:

  Your comp in AE was 29.97 fps.
  You rendered to a 29.97 Quicktime movie using AE.
  You imported a Quicktime movie into FCP.
  You exported a Quicktime movie out of FCP.

  Change the FCP sequence settings (cmd+0) to 29.97. Make sure frame size and codec also match those of the Quicktime movie you rendered out of AE and imported into FCP.

  Thanks for taking time to answer me!!

  Actually, the codec of the Quicktime movie that I exported and my FPC project didn’t match, I tried using the same codec but the had the same issue.

  So I exported my AE project as a Quicktime movie without any codecs and it worked just fine.

  It works when used as 23.976. That should work.
