  DVCPRO HD720p60, AE keyframes&framerate problem

  Hi, I shoot footage in a PanasonicP2 at 720p24.

  In FCP the footage appear like DVCPRO HD 720p60 Compressor and with 23.976 of Vidrate.

  In the FCP timeline, it was edited in 23.976

  When I export like Quicktime references (not Make Movie Self Contained) to AE, and import, not problem…

  But, (Problem 1) if I choose in the AE timeline, at 23.976, the playback is faster than original.

  (Problem 2) At 29.97 the footage has duplicate frames, and some keyframes in composition,(between graphics and footage) place at the middle of a frame in the AE timeline!? or it has not correct “snap” at the begin of the footage in relation of frames in AE timeline…

  Obvius, when I tracking a graphic with a footage, it hasn’t match correctly because it “keyframes” appears between frames in timeline.

  When I render it, same problem at first look, delay of 1 frame (or field) between graphic and footage motiontrack link.

  Could possible that Quicktime has a problem when export like reference..?

  Anybody knows what i’m doing wrong?

  Hi Dave, thanks for your help.
  I did all the procedures from import in FCP, until export to AE, correctly.

  My problem was in the AE timeline, with the footage framerate.

  I resolved the problem, re exporting the footage, but in quicktime with the option “make self contained” files, previously I didn’t that, I exported without this option, and I believe that it was the mistake…
