  color in monitor and laptop

  I am editing in FCP 6. I use an Apple laptop and a an older synmaster 213T monitor by samsung, the brightness color and contrast appear to be very differenet on the two displays. Any advice about which one I should be looking at for correct color, brightness etc. ? Is there a way to do this without spending a lot of money on new equipment ?

  Recalibrate your monitors in Apple’s display preferences. They will never be identical but you can get them close.

  Don’t trust any computer monitor for color adjustments. should be using a true NTSC monitor to grade
