    Hi There,

I have a an old Mac Pro 2008 running Final Cut Studio 7. All was ok until I stupidly updated the OSX to Yosemite-disaster.

I made a Carbon Copy Cloner of the drive, then reinstalled Snow Leopard, which luckily I have on disc. I then copied the drive’s documents over using Migration Assistant.

Everything seemed to copy fine, but whenever I try to open Final Cut Pro, it immediately shuts down with this message

I have updated the OS to 10.6.8, but the same message appears.

I then tried reinstalling Final Cut Studio-the same message appears.

Please can anyone help or advise?
    Thanks

You cannot MIGRATE the application over, that misses a lot of the small files installed in the SYSTEM and LIBRARY. And yes, I noticed that you said you installed it again…but that was over a migration…might be part of the issue. Use the FCS REMOVER from digitalrebellion.com, and then install again.

Remove the app. Then run DISK UTILITY to Repair Permissions, then install FCP
