  Z5 footage transcoded: Lots of ‘jaggies’

  I shot some footage on a Z5, using the CF card adapter. I have used Toast to convert the footage to ProRes 422 at 1080. It came out really baadly. Every time there was any movement, there were jagged edges.

  How do I transcode this footage? (it comes out on the CF card as an HVR folder)

  Use Log&Transfer in Final Cut.

  Hi Rafael, I’ve tried that, but FCP7 doesn’t recognise it

  Your conversion sounds like it has the field order reversed: try another conversion but this time look for “field order” in the interlaced/non-interlaced options.
