Flash effect in this video
In this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fl4Oqkt6Trg they use a effect where the screen flashes/flickers. How do they do that? You can see it at 3:28 and further.

They cut to black for one frame, then the footage for a frame, back to black…for a few beats. Like a second. So it looks like it flickers.

There’s also some color correction done to one or two flash-type frames, along with the black frames, and in some places, single-frame inserts of b-roll from other angles. It’s really just cutting, nothing high tech.
If you want to do this several times, I would build it on a separate track and copy-paste it over various sections.

This is easy in 7, tough in FCPX, if anyone cares, here.
One trick I like is as follows: frames go: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6.
Cut each frame, then rearrange as: 2, 1, 4, 3, 6, 5. Timing it to the music can add an interesting stuttering backwards-but-wait-it’s-going-forwards trippy vibe thing.
