  • Editing a music video. Want different markers on different audio tracks

I am editing a music video for a metal band West Of Hell. It is about drinking beer and the zombie apocalypse. It is sure to be a classic!

I am cutting together a teaser/trailer and have pieced it together the way I want. Now I wold like still frames to land at different beats in the song.

Ideally I would like to keep my audio track intact with existing markers and make a duplicate track that I put new markers and somehow lock out the existing tracks markers. I want to mate these up and for everything to sync. I also would like to be able to edit them separately. I have been unable to find a solution.

I usually have an editor and now am hellbent on learning the program myself better. It is a long tedious task and am sure I will have more questions.

I appreciate the help and advise.

The last to videos I did were for the band 3″of Blood Called ‘Battles and Brotherhood’ and ‘Silent Killer’
