  gradient map

  Can anyone explain why when I move all of my layers down along the Y axis, my gradient wipe no longer lines up?

  I’ve moved the layer with the gradient too so it should line up.

  The layer that is being wiped is an eps artwork. I’ve tried precomposing that layer to make it the same size as the comp but that didn’t help.

  I don’t think AE can figure out the relationship between 3D layers used as footage and 3D layers used as maps for effects.

  I’d precomp the gradient and the footage, making the precomp 3D in the main comp, but leaving the footage & gradient layers 2D inside the precomp.
