  Extract logo from footage

  Hi,

  I received some footage with quite a big logo in it which I want to extract with AE, I used the pentool to surround the logo (mask) and after the keylight to get the black background color out. (The logo is put on just a black background color!) When I push my transparacy grid button I see just the logo in perfect shape BUT, when I render the black background remains in my edit prog?

  What am I doing wrong?

  two questions – first, are you rendering out into a file which supports transparency, and second, are you turning off your black bg layer before you render?
