  Start up default layout & setting

  Hi,

  I work in a college where students are constantly changing Final Cut pro 7 layout and setting, I would like to ask is it possible have a default start up each time FCP is started with a set layout and setting, this way if a another student comes into the edit suite they don’t have to ask for technical assistance to revert back to standard layout and setting?

  Yes you can do this pretty easly.

  Firstly set up what you would like to be your default layout.
  Then under the window menu select arrange.

  You can then name, save or recall your layout.

  You can also choose some preset layouts there.

  You can use the shortcut ctl u which will return your window layout to a standard setting.
