  FCP 7 & RAM Question

  I am currently cutting with Final Cut 7 on a 2010 i3 iMac with 4gb of ram. Since 7 is 32 bit, will I not see any performance improvements if I increase ram?

  Nope! None. FCP sees 4GB of RAM and no more. Well, if you go to 8GB then FCP can use 4GB instead of whatever is leftover from what the OS is using of the current 4GB. But you won’t see any vast improvement even going to 8GB.
