  Importing Mpeg2 files into FCP

  Hello, I’m looking for the best way to work with mpeg2 files in Final Cut Pro. Does anyone know the best way to transcode them? The sequence will be using .mov and mpeg2 footage.

  Don’t mix codecs. It will make your editing life much easier. Convert everything to one codec. Pro Res is probably the best choice.
