  Logging .mov footage

  Hi,

  Any suggestions on how to log .mov footage in fcp? I created a batch list but can’t get the batch list and the .mov footage to sync. I presume there is a simple solution, but couldn’t find anything about it on the threads 🙁 . I tried log/capture, log/transfer, batch capture, but none of those ways work.

  I was given a dvd from which to use the footage, the format was video_ts, then converted to .mov and that’s the file i need to log. Any help would be awesome!

  You rip the DVD to .mov files.

  IMPORT them.

  You do NOT L&T or L&C quicktime files sitting on your system already.

  Specifically, you use MPEG STREAMCLIP to rip the DVDs and convert them to DV/NTSC…or DV50.

  You have to encode to an EDITING codec…editable format of .mov.
