    Hi All,

Whenever I cut and paste a sequence’s clips from another sequence to the new sequence the edits shift. I have made the settings identical? In the original it plays fine? But when I paste in the sequence it all shifts. I rendered over and over, tried to export Quicktime and re-import it but it only exports a really small segment? I’m having real trouble FCP is winning the battle. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

If it’s only exporting a little section of the sequence, you have probably set an in and out point on the timeline by accident. You can get rid of them by right clicking on the top bar of the timeline (just above the render color-bar) and selecting ‘clear in and out’ – or use the help search function to find this shortcut.

What type of video are you trying to edit? Not h.264 or mp4, right?
