• Apple Final Cut Pro Legacy

  Canvas Size

  The project before the one I am currently doing was 1920×1080, but my new project is DV and needs a 720×480 frame. I switched all of my settings to DV-NTSC and re-started the program before importing my new footage, aaaaand the canvas is still 1920×1080. I’ve re-started Final Cut several times, and even re-started my computer too, and nothing. I’ve double and triple checked all of my audio/video settings and everything’s set up for DV-NTSC and 720×480. Is there something I’m missing? Why is my canvas size so huge? I don’t want to have to stretch out my video to fit 1920×1080.

  (I realize I’m probably a huge idiot)

  Changing the settings will not change any existing sequence. After you’ve changed easy setup to DV NTSC make a new sequence.
