Log and Transfer
I have a JVC GZ-MG330HU camcorder, Final Cut Pro Log and Transfer will not recognize it. It did at the apple store but not on my mac. What can I do?

IT might not be compatible with FCP. That shoots SD MPEG-2. You might try iMovie…

I don’t understand why it worked at the apple store. We plugged the camera in went to log and transfer and the video on my camera came up. And by the way thanks for your help.

Crap…you did mention that.
CHoose the base level…the folder containing all the folders. Don’t go digging. Here, I have a tapeless tutorial… Tapeless Workflow for FCP 7 Tutorial

I hate to ask…are you sure they tried it in FCP and not iMovie? That camera IS supported by iMovie.
You definitely saw it under the log and transfer window?
If you’re sure – then two other things:
a) update FCP
b) Call that apple store back!Best,
