Hi folks, I’m doing a documentary project and am using quite a number of still images. I’ve run into a problem now w a few of them. They are super sharp in the viewer but terribly blurry in Canvas. Perusing earlier posts, I checked Canvas view size and it is 100%. These are images that were originally 8 x10 photos and I thought I would be essentially reducing them and would not run into problem. I went to a site to resize them and that didn’t work (tho I’m not positive I did that process 100% correctly) But then I imported them in their original format, which was a scanned 8×10 photo converted to jpeg. I tried both versions and neither worked. I would be so appreciative if you could help me here. Project is due tomorrow and I hadn’t realized this to be issue until now. (Someone had told me that it is okay if it is blurry in the canvas as long as it is okay in the viewer) I rendered the sequence too and that has not helped.
    Thanks so much

And what about your sequence setting, codec, etc?

OOops….I just checked the sequence playback quality and it is low. I recall now that somewhere along the line on this project I was told to do that to avoid dropped frames. BUT the good news is that when I raise the level of quality the image in the canvas sharpens.

    Thanks for this

    No need to do that.
Set “Unlimited RT” and Playback Video quality/Frame rate: Dynamic.
FC will play up to the performance of your system.
