Export problem mpg
Posted by Filippo Centenari on February 11, 2008 at 2:13 pmHy
I made a project with 768×1366 frame size and I need to export an mpeg at this resolution but when I try , using MPEG 2 codec, the video rendered is 720×576.
Is there an option to change the frame size?I use After Effect 8
thanks a lot

February 11, 2008 at 3:37 pmMPEG-2 is for DVD, and it can only be one of two sizes: 720×480 or 720×576.
What type of machine will you use to play back your final movie? Computer? DVD player?

February 11, 2008 at 3:47 pmthanks for the answer,
i Need to put this video on a Plasma using Scala Infochannel.
the video is really simple and it’s 15seconds but any time I try to export in the other codec supported by scala (windows media video)I always have a bad quality.
I don’t know how to set in order to have the best video setting for the quality.thanks really

February 11, 2008 at 3:53 pmI understand the other codec supported for my player (Scala Infochannel) is wmv.
But I can’t find a good export setting, I need to know the best way in order to export wmv at the best quality.
if you know i’m here!!
thanks

February 12, 2008 at 11:02 amMPEG2 is not just for DVD. It’s used for all HD standards as well. Sounds like our friend wants to output to a an HD television that has a 1366×768 format display.

February 12, 2008 at 11:03 amAre you using Export from the FILE menu, or are you using the render queue/manager? You may be able to get more control over the compression and size settings.
Also, if you export to animation codec and still want to use MPEG2, I suggest using Episode Pro. It’s a high quality, FAST encoder. Why apple’s compressor takes SO LONG to compress video is beyond me…

I found a solution using Animation (Quictime) export in AE and then using Sorenson.
But I will lokk for your direction tooI use render manager and not export in AE but the frame size of MPEG2 is fixed at 720×576 or NTSC
