    Hi all,

i know its basics.. but.. few doubts..

i have a commercial shot on RED. we have the final version as HD 1080i.
I have requests from the agency for the same to be delivered in DIGIBETA tapes on 4:3, 16:9 and 14:9 ratios..

How should i prepare the timeline ? should it be 720 * 576 or should it be 1080i ?
also how can i deal with the aspect ratios ?

If i render the timeline in 720*576, can someone capture at high quality , mayb in 1080 i ?? am confused..

    Please help me !!!

Use 1080i as your master format (note RED footage is progressive, so it will actually be 1080p).

When you have to make SD copies, use compressor to do high-quality scaling, or better, use a Kona or Blackmagic output to do a down-res. Both cards can be set to do the crop or letterbox as required.

There’s too much info here to reply in a single post. If you’re unsure of this, seek professional advice from a post house. Making commercial content from RED footage is not something you should undertake alone if you’re posting these questions – with respect.
