I am trying to capture some Mini-DV footage, and it gets about 30 seconds to a minute before it stops, with an error message telling me it is unable to read the tape (it’s missing information apparently). The whole tape isn’t like this, but it happens quite often. Is there a way for it to just capture the footage without stopping? Even if there are errors, I still need the footage.

Try “Uncontrollable device” and “Capture now”.

I tried that, it still gave me the same issues. Apparently it’s not a timecode issue, it has to do with the footage. Strange though, it looks okay to me, no digital noise or blips or nothing.

Try other device to play the tape.
