  • Saving hard drive space?

I have about 400GB of video and I’m going to edit it down to a bunch of little 5 second clips basically. When I’m done, my hours and hours of video will be about 15 minutes. To save space, could I do something like make my project, then export it as quicktime, delete the 400GB of source files and reimport the one quicktime movie? Any tips on how you guys do it to save space would be greatly appreciated!

We don’t. Hard drives cost far less than the cost of time to deal with such matters.
