How to replace stereo audio clips with multichannel ones of the same timecode in edited film? (FCP 6)
Hi everyone,
I’m about to synchronize video and audio clips in our FCP project yet there’s one question concerning the whole workflow. As the original sound, recorded separately, consists of 5 channels, we’d like to use simple 2-channel versions of it just for the editing and replace them with 5-channel clips afterwards. As far as I know it’s common strategy to avoid too many audio tracks during editing process. Both 2- and 5-channel WAVs have the same timecode of course. In FCP 6, is it posible to sync them automatically in timeline? Or replace them in a way we won’t have to adjust every clip manually?
I hope my description is sufficient.
Thanks in advance!
