  Sequence settings of AVCHD and HDV on same timeline

  Hi guys,

  I just wanted to run this by you guys to make sure all will be OK. I’m capturing my HDV as ProRes 422, in the browser checking the items props show 1440×1080 Apple ProRes 422. I have also AVCHD footage, checking the item props show 1920×1080 Apple ProRes (although I tranfered at 1440×1080) Popping the clips on the time line both sequence settings are 1440×1080 Apple ProRes.

  What I’m I losing from the AVCHD footage (if anything) 1920×1080

  Don’t use the 1440×1080 timeline settings, use the full raster 1920×1080. Keep all the resolution of the AVCHD…FCP will stretch out the HDV/ProRes to match.
