  Letterboxes on the video

  Part of my job is shooting editing and making a DVD to send to TV stations of 5 different topics a month. I send them 5 mins worth of interviews and broll and they package it with their reporter and air it. One station said when she dubbed the DVD into her system she had bars on the top and bottom of her screen (letter-boxing).

  So i have two questions:

  1. Does that mean they aren’t able to broadcast in HD?
  2. Is there anyway for me to format it so they can use the footage with out letter-boxing?

  A DVD is standard def, so it’s not HD to begin with.

  You send it anamorphic instead of letterboxed.
