    Hi All,

I’m on a big time crunch, I hope to get solution soon/tonight.

I took a picture with my digital camera. Opened the picture in Adobe Photoshop, and got rid of everything in the picture but the person in it, and filled in the background green screen green.

I then bought the jpg into FCP hoping to just key out the green and leave the person, but I can’t get this to work at all. I read up on green screening and am doing it right, fcp just won’t recognize the green as being there in the picture, it’s either all there, or the entire picture is keyed out.

    Anyone?????Anyone???

    thanks,
    pete lutz

No need to fill in the background with green in Photoshop. Just add an alpha layer, cut out all your green and save it.

What Mark really means to say is, cut out your subject in Photoshop and export using a file format that carries an alpha channel, such as PNG, TIF, TGA, etc.

LOL! I probably shouldn’t respond to posts before I’ve had my first cup of coffee. 😉

Your picture seems a perfect representation of you sans caffeine. It’s certainly what I feel like when people ask me questions before I’m caffeinated.
