Playing out to tape
Hello,
another really simple one from me!
I am trying to playout a sequence on FCP to digibeta tape-I have followed all the settings to print to video, but nothing is being recorded on the tape-not video or audio.
I can play into the system, so am at a loss why i cannot play out-it looks like it is playing to tape, but there is nothing on the tape.
Can someone give me a lit of things to check?

Lots of variables.
WHat is your video card?
Have you selected the correct easy setup?
Are you controlling the deck with the computer?
Component of SDI in?
Is teh audio going onto the tape?Check out this article too:

Not a video “card” as such. Is an external unit (AJA Kona box. Anyway, is SDI in/out – in the form of a “breakout panel”
I am trying to record the audio as well, but nothing is coming through.
FCP can see the audio from the tape, as I have tried injesting some things and it is fine with both video and audio.
Which bit is the easysetup?Any ideas?

the easysetup-
the edit to tape is set as :same as playback.. -
Problem solved now-it was an engineering problem rather than me just being stupid.
