  • Keying a new Graphic Background onto Green Screen footage

Posted by Rachel Miller on June 14, 2010 at 9:31 pm

    Hello,

I recently shot a taping in front of a green screen. The Ad director just gave me a new background to use as the background behind the individual. I imported the graphic in but I don’t know where to go from here.

    Thanks,

    Rachel

Put the background in layer 1 (V10 and the foreground in layer 2.
Select the foreground and left-click. In the “Composite Mode”, select “Travel Matte Alpha”.

You should have a look to the tutorials of Walter Biscardi :

Or double-click the green screen track after setting up Like Rafel said, then go to the top menu items, find “Video Filters”, then navigate from there to “keyers” and find the blue/green screen keyer or Primatte chromakeyer (I prefer that one). Use the little eyedropper tool to sample the green background, and then use the adjustment controls to get the rest of the way.

Sorry. I thought that the key was already pulled.
