  • Tracking issues when Scaling Text

    Hello,

I’ve found that when I animate the scale property of text with per character 3-D enabled (and probably without it enabled), my tracking becomes extremely condensed. I then have to compensate by animating the tracking. Is there a good way to avoid this? animate the character size instead of scaling?

Thanks a lot, creativecow is a fantastic resource for me.

    Hello:

I’ve never seen this issue before, but my 3D light that is affecting vector layers is causing strange vertical shadow lines on its surface. (only rotating on its x axis) A friend recommended rastering all layers but unfortunately, I am too far into an HD uprez to consider this an option.

I have tried to move the lights to reduce this but it has not solved the problem overall.

    – My shadow map is 4000 pixels and it was solving the problem but not all the time

    – And when I add another light to kill the shadow, it simply causes more issues.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

just to clarify, when scaling text smaller, the tracking is expanded, not condensed. Essentially, the letterforms are being scaled individually instead of as a word. this creates huge gaps in between each letter when they are scaled down. HELP! thanks.
