  • Automated Quicktime Exports to a Specific Size

    Hello Everyone

Here is my situation. I have a client that is asking me to take their video files and put them on DVD. There are several files, ranging from 6gb to 27gb in size. I need to break these down and send them as 4gb files on individual DVDs.

My first thought would be simply to export 4gb quicktimes from FCP, and thats that – except that would be very time consuming. Does anyone know an automated way I could do this? Some way I can just plugin my video clips, set my desired sizes, and leave it overnight. I have FCP, Compressor, Avid MC, Squeeze and MPEG Streamclip at my disposal.

    Thanks!

    Rodrigo

    Hi Rodrigo,
But what do you want to do, playable DVDs or a data DVDs?

Sorry, should have been more specific.

They need to be data DVDs.

Shipping a hard drive is out of the question, they specifically want DVDs (for reasons beyond me).

    thanks!

    Hi Rodrigo,
Toast Titanium 10 do it for you.
You just prepare the files and he split the files on the data DVDs.
