    Hi Guys,

I did post something yesterday regarding capturing SD stuff, I think I now have the correct settings??? but I’m getting strange behaviour.

Settings : format PAL Use: DV-PAL
Capture settings : Device control : FireWire PAL Capture/Input DV PAL 48kHz

Then using Capture Now – it captures the footage OK but when I esc it saves the capture as one long clip in the browser, even though there are ten clips in the capture and I get an error message that says the audio sample rate does not match sample rate on the source tape arrrrrr Surely I’m being a knob head here? Can anyone help

    Paul

    Hi Paul,

The “Capture Now” function just digitize the tape as it’s playing until you hit escape.
If you want to capture ‘clips’ you would need to use the batch capture function.

The audio sample rate is due to the tape being record at a lower rate than 48khz. Once you’ve capture it, you can render the audio rate up to 48khz.

    Good Luck,

    Hi Todd,
Thanks for the post, as I guessed I was being a bit of a knob, it was a case of RTFM, things are slightly better using the DV Start/Stop Detect as well, but I may well use the batch capture.

    Cheers Paul
