    HI,
Could someone tell me what the minimum tech requirements for a dv camera for digitizing into FCP,
eg does it have to be a 3chip camera or simply just have DV in/Out.

    Thanks..

For the most part DV camera should support firewire in and out. Many of the very latest cameras have only USB, but most of those are not DV, they are typically recorded as an MPEG version of an HD signal.

    Thanks for reposnse..
I have a little MD101 canon camcorder and have tried to use it for digitising but it just continually tries to locate timecode, and it only ever digis in a fraction of second.. tryingt to establish if it is a camera fault ( as it ws bought on ebay) or if its just too basic..but it does have mini firewire which I would have thought would have been minimum requirement.

    Any ideas.. appreciate your time..
    Thanks,
    S..
