  Moving a clip to a new video track causes Audio to overwrite.Help

  When I move a clip, the associated audio tends to plop down on top of other tracks and overwrite the existing audio. Moving a linked video/audio clip from one video track to another causes the audio to jump tracks and overwrite whatever is there.

  Very annoying. Is there a setting where I can have the timeline not allow clips to over write each other, and either stay on the tracks they are on when being moved or jump to empty tracks?

  Modify.> Uncheck “Link”.
  Or lock the audio tracks and move the video track.
