I’m trying to use a font called “Tahoma” in Final Cut Pro, but whilst it’s installed on the system, it isn’t available inside FCP’s ‘font’ list in the control tab of the text editor.

I checked the font in the Mac’s Font folder – it’s there as a ttf and doesn’t appear any different from other fonts that are available in FCP, so I don’t see what’s wrong.

Even more annoyingly, I can use it in LiveType!

Ordinarily I’d find a similar looking font and just use that, but it’s my client’s corporate font and so I have to be able to use it! I’ll be using it a lot for simple edits so using LiveType all the time is far from ideal.

I’m working on OSX 10.5.8, the mac is a 2.66Ghz Quadcore with 6gb RAM, running FCP 6.0.6… it’s the client’s system, and brand new.

    Any help appreciated!
