  Sequence Settings

  I just took a look at all my footage and I have:

  4 different frame sizes: 720×480, 640×360, 720×486 and 720×540

  4 different compressors: DV/DVCPRO-NTSC, Motion JPEG A, Photo – JPEG, Uncompressed 8-bit 4:2:2

  How would you set up your sequence settings?
  -Frame Size?
  -Pixel Aspect Ratio?
  -Field Dominance?
  QT Video Settings?

  The final product needs to be delivered for air on the web at 640×360.

  I would drop everything in a 640×360 Square pixels/ Progressive sequence.
  Proress, and the time base depending of the stuff.

  I’m def. a novice FCP user … what do you mean by Progressive sequence? How do I make it progressive and what is it exactly.

  I also didn’t understand this part of your answer either …
  Proress, and the time base depending of the stuff.

  Hi Colleen,
  If you are making a video for a web it must be progressive. So no Upper, no Lower, but NONE as field order. You need to de-interlace the footage you put on it.
  Proress is the codec that I suggest, and about the time-base, if all your footage have the same time base, no problem. If there are different time-bases you need to convert all the footage to a common one.
