  Hey guys, quick question–
  How can I copy/paste part of an audio selection?
  Essentially, here’s the situation:
  I’m taking the animation from one music video and putting it to the audio of another song. However, the opening of the video is much longer than the time in the song until the music starts playing… so essentially to get the music to match up with the video, there’s a long break of silence at the beginning. I figure the best solution is the extend the opening chord for several seconds BEFORE the actual start of the audio. So, how do I copy the opening chord from that audio file and place it before the natural start of the audio?

  Open the music file in the Viewer, set in and out points around the chord and Insert edit to your timeline. Or, you can Blade around the chord in the timeline, Copy that and Paste at the head of the program. You may have to use and audio dissolve and/or keyframe the audio so it blends properly.
