    Hi,

I’m working on a project shot in mini-dv, 29.97. I need to make some editing and then move the project to After Effects.

I have questions about deinterlacing the video:

    1) Should my timeline in FCP be a progressive one? If so, would it be 30p?

    2) Is it better to deinterlace in FCP, compressor or AE?

    3) When I’ll export the final result of the project, should I export as progressive?

    Thanks in advance

Exactly why are you deinterlacing? If you tell us precisely and tell us what the final destination is for your completed project we can better help you.
