desperately need help on this. i have to submit work tommorow on final cut pro and i did it all but this last little bit i thought would be easy. i cant find anything on the web or dl the final cut demo! pls help me

i need to “define the following editing terms. For each term, explain how, when and why each technique would be used”

    Batch Capture
    Scratch Disc
    Splice Tool
    Insert Edit
    Overwrite Edit
    Selection Tool
    Edit Selection Tool
    Transitions
    Razor Blade Tool
    Roll Tool
    Pen Tool
    Audio Scrubbing
    Match Frame
    Snapping
    Render.

what i really need is the final cut pro help document (i think. but the user manual does not describe these tools)
if anyone can link me to the document describing all these final cut functions and how/what they are used for then id be saved! if theres anyway to help me id be so happy. i really would apreciate it. thanks!

I love helping people with homework! :

Batch Capture – capture clips as a batch
Scratch Disc – location of the capture scratch folder
Splice Tool – splices an edit
Insert Edit – inserts an edit
Overwrite Edit – overwrites an edit
    Selection Tool – selects stuff
Edit Selection Tool – selects your edits
    Transitions – transition between clips
Razor Blade Tool – cuts stuff with razor blade icon
Roll Tool – rolls edits longer
    Pen Tool – draws stuff
    Audio Scrubbing – cleans audio
Match Frame – matches the current frame you’re on
Snapping – makes play head snappy
    Render. – a pain in the $#*(

    Hope that helps!

I don’t really follow what you need. The tools are well explained in the User Manual. They’re also pretty self explanatory to any editor. The name of the tool IS the definition of what it does.

The URL didn’t link correctly. Go here and search for glossary.

Did I mention I hate this user manual page?

    All the best,
